John White Project Management (JWPM) specialises in IT solutions for healthcare within the health and justice environment.
Brief
The team now heading up Infotex’s systems team, were tasked to undertake the initial development work on JWPM’s Call Information Management Application Systems (CIMAS): an online platform and mobile application that automates the call out process for medical intervention in police custody.
Response
Working in partnership with JWPM, the team helped scope out and build each module of the project – both for the online platform and app. The system was designed to manage and monitor the workload of healthcare practitioners (HCPs), who are frequently tasked to work between numerous police custody sites. Features included the HCP’s up-to-the-minute workload and geographic location, as well as information on the level of care required for the patient. The system also offers real-time communication between the custody sergeant and HCPs.
Results
The team took the project to the testing stage. CIMAS is currently being integrated into a larger clinical system.
