The Cufflink Store had been selling online for over 10 years, and were looking at the next stage of their online journey. Orders were increasing, but the site wasn’t great on mobiles and needed a general facelift.
““We needed a new website with increased functionality and user experience. Infotex delivered from start to finish delivering us exactly what we wanted with the new website increasing our web sales by 25%! We are delighted with the finished website and have continued to work with them on other projects since!”
Fred Sheppard, The Cufflink Store
With a product catalogue of over 3,200 items, it was important visitors could quickly narrow their selection once they arrived at the site, so a lot of time was spent classifying each item for using in the search and filters. The site also sells a range of customisable cufflinks, with the customer’s able to upload their own photos, or add engraving in a wide range of styles.
Shopify was our platform of choice, as it offers a simple to use admin area but a suite of powerful apps to extend functionality to facilitate the filters and custom products. The previous site would also struggle when newsletters were sent, but the Shopify platform can handle thousands of simultaneous visitors.
We designed a bespoke Shopify template to fully get the best out of the system, and the client loves how straightforward it is to maintain the product catalogue – and the thousands of orders a month. They’re also keen on the halving of the site hosting costs compared to the previous supplier.
Since launch the site has had further integration with Royal Mail, reducing the daily overhead for despatching orders from hours to minutes.
